One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, attributed to Henry H. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1835, rotund jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and back with fan-shaped cobalt flowers hanging from a leafy stem. Additional leafy brushwork under each handle. Exceptional form. Some fry to cobalt and a tiny rim chip.
