Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Impressed Swag and Tassel Designs, attributed to South Amboy, NJ, early 19th century, ovoid jug with heavily-tooled shoulder, reeded neck, and ribbed handle, decorated around the body with three individually impressed swags, interspersed with floral-shaped tassels. Cobalt highlights to impressed decoration and handle terminals. Several hairlines throughout, including underside, and one slightly wide crack to side. H 12 1/8".
