Rare Redware Pitcher with Exceptional Glaze, New England origin, first half 19th century, ovoid pitcher with rounded foot, flared rim, and applied ribbed handle, the surface decorated with mottled light green glaze with light-orange grounded over a speckled, rust-colored ground. The color of the vessel changes depending upon the concentration of the applied glaze, which varies across the surface. Chips and wear to rim. Wear to handle. H 7".
