Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "TROY, N.Y. POTTERY," NY State origin, third quarter 19th century, cylindrical jug with sloped shoulder and squared rim, decorated with vibrant slip-trailed bird with long tail and spotted breast, perched on a stylized branch. Very nice color. Excellent condition with a faint 2 3/4" surface line on shoulder, and two very faint surface lines on underside.
