Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Leaf Decoration, Stamped "CONNOLLY & PALMER / NEW-BRUNSWICK, N.J.," circa 1880, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder, semi-squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a large leaf accented with spots. Reverse impressed with Connolly & Palmer maker's mark above a slip-trailed 2. A 3 3/4" hairline from rim. Chipping to inner rim, which would hold a lid. Faint surface lines on underside.
