Two Glazed Redware Flasks, American, early 19th century, a slender-bodied flask with squared spout, crudely-incised crosshatched lines to midsection, the shoulder decorated with splashed manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze; paired with a thicker-bodied flask with flattened sides and rounded rim, the surface covered in a dark brown lead-and-manganese glaze. Taller flask with wear to top edge of spout. Smaller flask in very nice condition, with a few short, tight lines in shoulder and an in-the-firing chip to underside. H (of taller flask) 8 1/4".
