Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Folky Incised Bird Decoration, possibly Virginia, second quarter 19th century, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated with a naive incised design of a slender bird with upswept tail. Excellent condition with a few in-the-firing base chips.
