Salt-Glazed Stoneware Jar with Iron Oxide Glaze, American, late 18th or early 19th century, with ovoid body, narrow foot, and wide rounded rim formed to hold a lid. Half of jar dipped in a reddish-brown rust glaze. Spidering crack on one side. Hole filled in underside. Base chips. Roughness to rim. Some wear to shoulder. H 10 1/4".
