Five-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Bird Decoration, NY State origin, circa 1875, semi-ovoid churn with tooled shoulder, rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a large slip-trailed cobalt design of a crested bird perched on a stylized branch. Chip on underside at edge. Small chips on interior where a churn lid would rest.
