Two Pieces of Signed Milburn Stoneware, Alexandria, VA origin, third quarter 19th century, a half-gallon jug, stamped "W. LEWIS MILBURN," paired with a two-gallon cylindrical jar, stamped both "S.C. MILBURN" and "B.C. MILBURN / ALEXA". Jug with small base chips, the majority of which are glazed over. Jar is somewhat out-of-round, with a Y-shaped hairline on underside and a Y-shaped hairline extending partway up front.
