One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "Hamilton & Jones / Greensboro Pa.," circa 1875, ovoid jar with flattened rim, decorated with a finely-brushed undulating vine between the stenciled words, along with a brushed stripe above and below. Wide top-to-bottom X-shaped crack, extending in the form of a 2 3/4" line onto underside. Additional 4 1/2" crack from rim. Areas of staining to surface.
