Rare Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "LEWISTOWN POTTERY," PA origin, third quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with flattened rim and applied lug handles, decorated with two brushed cobalt flowers extending from a leafy stem. Small chips to one handle. Minor wear to opposite handle. Shallow chip to underside at edge.
