Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, Stamped "A,J, BUTTLER, / MANUFACTERUR / NEW-BRUNSWICK, N.J.," circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with flared collar and tooled rim, decorated with cobalt tulips flanking the maker's mark and a stylized flower blossom surrounding the spout. A chip on interior and exterior of rim. Minor, very faint lines on underside. H 9".
