Rare Five-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt North Wind Face Decoration, Red Wing, MN origin, late 19th century, cylindrical jug with tall spout, decorated with a highly unusual slip-trailed cobalt design of a face surrounding by dashes. Possibly a representation of the North Wind. Cobalt script "5" below spout. Spout chips. Salt drips to front and back. H 20".
