Two Stoneware Cannings, Cumberland, MD and Harrisburg, PA origin, circa 1860-1875, a Western PA wax sealer, stenciled with the advertising " C.F. HETZEL / & CO. / CUMBERLAND, / MD."; paired with an undecorated canning jar, stamped "WM. MOYER". Cumberland jar broken into three pieces and reglued. Moyer jar with Y-shaped crack on underside, extending 5 1/2" up side of jar on one side, and 7/8" up base of jar elsewhere. Additional wear to interior rim area of Moyer jar. H (of Cumberland jar) 8 1/8".
