One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Unusual Stenciled Decoration, Western PA or W VA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with an intricate stenciled design resembling a woman in a dress or a bell. Rim chip. Some light bubbling to cobalt. In-the-firing chip near base. Some staining to reverse at base. H 10".
