Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Paddletailed Bird Decoration, Stamped "N.A. WHITE & SON, / UTICA, N.Y.," circa 1885, cylindrical jug with tall spout, decorated with a brushed and slip-trailed cobalt design of a paddletailed bird with crest, perched in a morning glory vine. Fry to cobalt. Some restoration to spout. Contact mark on side of jug with some minor in-the-firing lines extending through it. H 14 3/4".
