Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Lidded Stoneware Jar, Stamped "PENN YAN," New York State origin, circa 1860, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with opposing flowers and a brushed "2". Wear and a few minor chips on interior where a lid rests. 1" shallow chip on right side of rim with 2" hairline extending through it. Chips to lid. H 11 1/2".
