Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1835, ovoid jar with tooled foot, squared rim, and applied tab handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt swag and hanging flower design on the front and back. Additional cobalt dash under each handle. Chip on exterior of rim and smaller chips on interior of rim. Heavy chipping to one handle. 3 1/2" T-shaped crack on side, continuing onto underside. H 8 1/2".
