Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Albany, NY origin, circa 1820, approximately two-gallon ovoid jug with tooled spout and ribbed handle, decorated with an abstract design of a large flower with circular blossom and leafy stem. Contact mark to front of jug with pieces of kiln furniture attached. 3/4" in-the-firing chip to shoulder. Heavy chipping to base. In-the-firing crazing to shoulder and spout. H 14 3/4".
