One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug, Stamped "CORTLAND," NY State origin, circa 1867-1869, squat-shaped jug with tooled shoulder and semi-squared spout, decorated with two large brushed tulip extending from a looping slip-trailed stem. Provenance: Laurence Fish Estate, Trenton, NJ. 3/4" in-the-firing line extending from a stone ping on left side of spout. A few small spout chips. Base flake, a few minor base chips, and a 2" hairline at base on reverse. H 10 3/4".
