Glazed Pottery Lion Doorstop, Incised "M. RILEY," Midwestern origin, late 19th or early 20th century, molded reclining lion on a tiered rectangular base, covered in a heavy lead glaze over dense red clay. Incised on underside "M. RILEY". Possibly produced by a brick manufacturer. In-the-firing base chips. 3/4" firing flaw to top of head. A few minor chips to corners. Length 9".
