One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, Stamped "J.M. HICKERSON / STRASBURG, VA," circa 1880, ovoid pitcher with tall collar and incised line detail, decorated with cobalt swags around the midsection and large slashes flanking the spout. Impressed with Hickerson mark below rim. Entire front of pitcher from top-to-bottom reglued in one piece. A few base chips. H 11 3/4".
