Stenciled Stoneware Canning Jar, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim with "wax sealer" interior, decorated with two brushed cobalt stripes and a stenciled foliate design. Provenance: From a thirty-five year Western PA collection. Minor chips to interior of rim. A few tiny nicks to shoulder molding. Light wear around midsection. H 8 1/4".
