Two-Gallon Cumberland, MD Stoneware Advertising Jar, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated with freehand cobalt stripes, and a stenciled "2", along with the stenciled advertising "WM. R. BEALL & CO. / GROCERIES & C. / CUMBERLAND, / MD." As-made condition with a 3" unglazed contact mark on right side of jar. H 11 3/4".
