Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "T.F. REPPERT / SUCCESSOR TO / JAS. HAMILTON & CO. / GREENSBORO, PA," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with lug handles, and semi-rounded rim, decorated with freehand stripes and stenciled designs surrounding desirable "T.F. REPPERT / SUCCESSOR" stenciling. Provenance: From a thirty-five year Western PA collection. Excellent condition with adhesive staining to surface, base chip, and short line from rim on reverse. H 13 3/4".
