Five-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES / STAR POTTERY / GREENSBORO, PA," circa 1875, cylindrical jar decorated with a stenciled star, stenciled flowers, a large stenciled "5", and freehand stripes. Provenance: From a thirty-five year Western PA collection. 12" crack extending under one handle. Small chips to one handle. Minor contact mark under the end of one handle. Small chip to interior of rim. H 16".
