Scarce One-Gallon Bedford, PA Stoneware Advertising Jar, Western PA origin, circa 1875, ovoid jar with flattened rim, decorated with the stenciled cobalt advertising "HEDDING / & / CONVALT / BEDFORD / PA." Decorated with small stenciled flowers and freehand cobalt stripes at the rim and base. Provenance: Laurence Fish Estate, Trenton, NJ. Chip and wear to rim. Two small base chips. H 8".
