Four-Gallon Double-Handled Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Vine Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, semi-ovoid jug with wide spout and two applied handles, decorated with undulating cobalt vines flanking the number "4". Desirable form. Provenance: Lynn White Collection, Readfield, ME. Two spout chips, along with a small in-the-firing spout chip and a minor 3/8" in-the-firing separation in spout. H 18".
