Small-Sized Stoneware Keg, Incised "1836," possibly English, ovoid form with tooled bands, circular bung hole at base, and pouring hole in top surface. Surface of keg covered in a greenish-white Bristol glaze. Shoulder of keg incised with the date "1836" surrounded by flourishes. Excellent condition with some small base chips and some minor in-the-firing glaze lines. H 10 1/2".
