Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Floral Decoration, Stamped "N.A. WHITE & CO. / UTICA, N.Y.," circa 1885, cylindrical jug with tall spout, decorated with a large brushed and slip-trailed cobalt design of a drooping flower with large leaves. Provenance: Lynn White Collection, Readfield, ME. A few flakes to decoration, the largest measuring 5/8". Arching line on underside, possibly in-the-firing. 4" in-the-firing, glazed-over line from spout. Spout chip. Base chip. H 15 1/2".
