Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "W.H. LEHEW & CO. / STRABURG, VA," circa 1870, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and thin flaring rim, decorated with cobalt swags around the midsection. Sealed semi-circular crack on underside, visible on interior. Sealed crack extends onto side of jar, forming a long Y at base. 1 1/4" shallow rim chip. Small nick on interior of rim. Base chips and a 1 1/8" chip on underside. H 7 1/2".
