One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Cake Crock, Stamped "S.H. SONNER / STRASBURG, VA," circa 1870, low-walled cylindrical crock with thin rim and applied tab handles, decorated with two groups of cobalt swags on each side and dashes under the handles. Rim chips. Two in-the-firing streaks of dryness to one side. H 5 3/4" ; Diameter 8 3/8".
