Scarce Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stamped "SOLOMON BELL," Winchester or Strasburg, VA origin, circa 1845, slender cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and semi-squared rim, impressed with early Solomon Bell mark on shoulder. As-made condition. 1/2" in-the-firing separation at base. A contact mark to shoulder, with small piece of kiln furniture attached, and a second small recessed contact mark to shoulder. H 9".
