Rare Heavily-Decorated Stoneware Lid, Strasburg, VA origin, probably Solomon Bell, circa 1875, cylindrical lid with scalloped flange on underside, decorated with elaborate swag and floral motif. Two chips to knob. Minor chips along edge, visible only on underside. Heavy chipping to flange on underside. 4 1/2" thin crack on top surface, 1 3/4" of which is visible on underside. 4" line on top surface, not visible on interior. D 10".
