One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Advertising Jar, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1870, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and semi-squared rim, decorated with brushed cobalt leaves around the midsection and impressed with advertising "FROM / ALLEN & BRO. / 23 & 25 SOUTH ST. / PHILA." Small chips to rim. 4" vertical line at midsection. H 11 1/2".
