Two Salt-Glazed Stoneware Inkwells, Northeastern U.S. origin, 19th century, the first with cobalt stripe around top edge, incised on underside "John Welch / 1841"; the second with tooled banding around top edge. Dated inkwell with old 2 3/4" x 1 3/8" cement repair, as well as rim and base chips, and small nicks to opening. Second inkwell with rim chips and two minor base chips. H (of dated inkwell) 1 5/8" ; Diameter (of dated inkwell) 4".
