Stoneware Tobacco Jar, Stenciled "Weyman & Bros. / Pittsburgh, Pa.," Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with sloping tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, the front featuring advertising for the tobacco merchants "Weyman & Bros." Reverse decorated with a large cobalt tobacco leaf. Provenance: Tom McCandless Collection, Hopewell, NJ. Chip and 1" worn area on interior of rim. Two base chips. H 10 1/4".
