Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "ADAM CAIRE / POKEEPSIE NY," circa 1885, cylindrical crock with applied lug handles, decorated with a large brushed cobalt bird with crest and fan-shaped tail, perched atop a stylized branch. Two small rim chips. Base with minor stone ping and minor chip. Some very minor flakes to surface. H 11 1/4".
