Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Butter Crock, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1860, low-walled crock with tooled shoulder and applied tab handles, decorated on the front and back with a brushed cobalt hanging tulip design and additional swags. An exceptionally short-statured example. As-made condition with a glazed-over handle chip. H 3 3/4" ; Diameter 7 3/4".
