Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "RIEDINGER & CAIRE / POUGHKEEPSIE NY," circa 1860, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder, flaring rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt plant bearing two flower blossoms. Two faint Y-shaped lines under and to the right of the right handle. Chips and wear to inner rim where a lid would rest. H 11 3/4".
