One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "CAMPBELL / PENN YAN," New York State origin, circa 1850, cylindrical jar with tall collar, tooled shoulder, and applied lug handles, cobalt-decorated with a split-stemmed flowering plant. X-shaped hairline on underside, extending a short distance onto base in two places. Two additional vertical lines at base. Three rim chips. Expected wear on interior where a lid would rest. Chips to shoulder molding. 1" line from rim on reverse. Two chips to one handle. Stone ping near base on side of jar. H 9".
