Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Chicken Pecking Corn Decoration, New York State origin, circa 1870, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt design of a chicken pecking kernels of corn. Heavy exfoliation to right side of base of crock, extending around to reverse. Handle chip. Chips to interior of rim. H 9 1/2".
