Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "JACOB CAIRE & CO. / POUGHKEEPSIE, NY," circa 1840, ovoid jug with squared spout and ribbed handle, decorated with two brushed cobalt tulips extending from a leafy stem. Includes wooden stopper. 3" inverted Y-shaped line from rim. Glazed-over spout chip. Spots of fry to cobalt. H 15 3/8".
