One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Unusual Cobalt Clover Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1870, cylindrical jar with tooled midsection and squared rim, decorated with an unusual brushed cobalt clover design on one side, featuring ten clovers extending from a two-stemmed plant. Reverse with less elaborate clover motif. Hairlines throughout underside, extending onto base. Two small rim chips, one of which appears to be in-the-making. H 11".
