One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Incised Foliate Decoration, Crolius or Remmey Family, Manhattan, NY, early 19th century, ovoid jug with tooled neck, decorated on the shoulder with an incised foliate design highlighted in cobalt slip. Restored handle. Some restoration to spout. 2 1/2" and 2" horizontal areas of restoration at base. 1" touch mark and smaller contact mark on reverse. H 11 1/2".
