Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Handled Canning Jar, Ohio origin, fourth quarter 19th century, cylindrical form with rounded shoulder, wax sealer rim, and applied strap handle, decorated with slip-trailed cobalt flowering plant design. Rim chips. Thin sliver of kiln furniture on top of rim, which adhered during the firing. H 10 3/8".
