Ovoid Redware Jug, attributed to John Bowman, Boonsboro, MD, circa 1860, highly ovoid jug with tooled shoulder, flared spout, and ribbed handle, covered in a dark brown lead and manganese glaze. Several cracks in underside, one of which extends 6 1/4" up side of jug. A few small base chips. Spout chip. Wear to spout and handle. H 9 1/4".
