Rare Glazed Redware Jar, New England origin, probably Maine, early to mid 19th century, ovoid jar with flared rim, rounded foot, and arching tab handles, decorated with a celadon-colored glaze and overlying daubs of manganese. Excellent form and color. Heavy chipping to one handle. Chips to opposite handle. Some large flakes to surface. Base chips. Glazed-over rim chip. Minor wear on exterior of rim. Wear to interior of rim. H 10 5/8".
