Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Flask, probably New York State origin, early 19th century, wheel-thrown flask with flattened sides and tooled spout, decorated with widely-brushed strokes of cobalt slip on both sides, resembling leaves or a flower blossom. Essentially as-made condition with a dry salt mark on shoulder, two in-the-firing crazed spots, and a very minor base chip. H 7 1/2".
